قسمت 8: سنسی با ایشی و یامادا مواجه می‌شود در حالی که درخت جهان تحت کنترل دنیای دیگرانِ طمع‌کار رنج می‌برد

The story continues as Sensei and his party visit the town near the world tree. However, the world tree is losing its vitality as the town is now controlled by some greedy other-worlders who are using the town as a gambling den as well as using the leaves of the tree as a sort of addicting drug. Sensei meets and is seen interested in a mysterious woman (Esche) who helps him to sleep and relax. She is working behind the scenes to protect the town people from getting attacked by the other-worlder thugs. Another brave other-worlder (Yamada) visits the town at the same time and accepting the town peoples request to save them defeats the thugs. The people then accuses Esche as a betrayer and compell her to leave the town despite Sensei protesting . After that the villagers proposed to Yamada to continue the drug business that the thugs had setup. Yamada is distraught at the ugliness of the villagers. All of a sudden, the world tree begins to fall off as if to be saddened by their greed. As sensei's team were leaving. Esche visits sensei and reveals her to be a fragment of the world tree. She gifts sensei infinite calmotin.
