Japan experiences the highest frequency of kaiju attacks globally, prompting the formation of the Japan Defense Force to combat these threats. Kafka Hibino works in kaiju corpse cleanup and has long aspired to join the military. When an opportunity arises to pursue his dream, he undergoes an unforeseen transformation. Now a kaiju himself, he must navigate the challenge of fighting the very creatures he once dealt with in his former role.
