Katanagatari

Yasuri Shichika, the seventh inheritor of the Kyotouryuu sword technique, resides on an island with his older sister. A woman named Togame arrives and asks for his help in retrieving twelve legendary swords crafted by the master Shikizaki Kiki. Shichika and Togame depart from the island, where he has lived for more than two decades, to seek out these weapons. Each sword is guarded by a different person, and Shichika must confront them all. The journey explores the true capabilities of the Kyotoryuu style as they travel together.
