Sekishoku Elegy

A classic love story, it portrays the emotional struggles of living together among young couples in 1970s Japan, moving many to tears. The animation is created and directed by Seiichi Hayashi, a renowned artist known for his illustrations in Koume Chan candies and Hagi No Tsuki confections. Hayashi collaborates with folk singer Morio Agata, with whom he has not worked in over thirty years. Agata previously had a major hit with a song inspired by the comic. The work has been reimagined with new musical interpretations, revitalizing it as a piece of Ganime.
