During the feudal wars in Japan, the Awa clan is nearly destroyed by a rival clan supported by demonic powers. The clan's dog returns with the enemy warlord's head but demands to marry the lord's daughter. Their unnatural marriage results in offspring who are later killed. Their eight unborn children are reborn as the eight Dog Warriors. Each reincarnated soul pursues their own path of vengeance, but they gradually unite as a powerful group embodying the eight virtues of bushido. Their goal is to defeat the demons and restore their clan's honor.
