Versailles no Bara Movie

A 50th-anniversary movie project of a long-running manga, it centers on an arranged marriage between Marie Antoinette, an Austrian princess, and Louis XVI of France, intended to strengthen a political alliance. At the French court, Marie Antoinette encounters Oscar Francois de Jarjayes, a Royal Guards captain who appears to be male but is actually a woman. Raised as a boy due to her family's lack of male heirs, Oscar now serves in the military. Marie Antoinette, feeling isolated by the strict court customs, forms a bond with Oscar.
