Centuries after the original, this story follows the eighteenth ship named Yamato and its conflict with the Seiren Federation. On a planet under the Seiren Federation's strict control, a group of Earth teens find the remains of the Earth Federation Battleship Yamato. They take the ship's data disk and use the Seiren's automated shipyards to build a new Yamato.
