A global pandemic has killed 90 percent of the human population, after which the dead returned as zombies that only target people. Thirteen years after this event, known as "Red Day," civilization has collapsed, and the remaining humans live outside major cities, hoping to reclaim them. A new generation, unfamiliar with life before the outbreak, is growing up in this changed world. Aki, along with her friends Haru and Natsuki, sets out on a journey to locate Aki's missing father.
