RAINBOW: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin

Six teenagers, aged 16 to 17, known by the names Joe, Mario, Suppon, Baremoto, Heitai, and Kyabetsu, are sent to a reformatory after committing crimes like assault, fraud, and running away. Their time there is harsh from the start. They are housed by a doctor with inappropriate tendencies and monitored by a cruel and violent group. Sharing a cell with a man named Sakuragi, known as Anchan, tensions grow between the youths and him. A fight erupts, and the six are easily defeated by the enigmatic Sakuragi, who displays strong boxing skills. The narrative explores the lives of these seven individuals as they endure the harsh conditions of the facility, along with their struggles with rejection from the outside world and those close to them. It highlights the strong and unbreakable bonds formed among these young men. The manga received the 2005 Shogakukan Manga Award in the seinen/general category.
