Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari

A disinterested otaku is transported to another world and designated as one of four heroes chosen to wield powerful weapons and prevent an impending catastrophe. Assigned the role of the Shield Hero, considered the least formidable, he quickly faces betrayal and abandonment, leaving him isolated and destitute. Stripped of allies and resources, he is left with only his shield. To fulfill his role, he must overcome these hardships and prove himself as the hero the world expects.
