Yasuhiro Takemoto

Yasuhiro Takemoto studied animation at the Yoyogi Animation Academy. After graduating, he started working at [Kyoto Animation](https://anilist.co/studio/2/Kyoto-Animation) for almost his entire animation career, joining the company in 1996. At the company, Yasuhiro was considered one of the most reliable and trustworthy members of the staff. [Nurse Witch Komugi](https://anilist.co/anime/615/Nurse-Witch-Komugichan/) was his directorial debut​ and [Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu](https://anilist.co/anime/72/Full-Metal-Panic-Fumoffu/) his first solo directorial debut. He died in the arson attack at Kyoto Animation's Studio 1 on July 18, 2019.
