Wataru is a light novel writer who is best known for being the author of [Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.](https://anilist.co/manga/70171/Yahari-Ore-no-Seishun-Love-Comedy-wa-Machigatteiru/) In March of 2009, he graduated from Meiji University in Communication and Information.
He initially decided to become a light novel writer because he was having difficulty finding a job. He is currently working at a company as a salaryman while being a part-time writer, with no plans of making writing his full-time occupation.
