A piece from the first movement of a ballet includes a melody later used in a 19th-century arrangement by Henry Ghys. Ghys incorrectly credited the tune to a composition by Louis XIII called "Amaryllis." In Japan, the arrangement was adapted with Japanese lyrics and broadcast on NHK's Minna no Uta in 1968. It became known as "Amaryllis" and is now recognized as a French folk song in Japan. The melody is occasionally used as an hourly chime in some schools and rural areas.
