Barakamon

A young, talented, and self-centered calligrapher faces a public critique that leads to a harsh fallout. Punished by his father, he is sent to a remote island to reflect and grow. Struggling to focus, he is constantly interrupted by loud children, enthusiastic middle schoolers, and lively elderly residents. The island, contrary to his expectations, is anything but quiet. Through his interactions with the meddling locals, he begins to learn valuable lessons beyond his craft.
