A group of high school students work for pay in a near-futuristic setting while dealing with everyday challenges. Humanity has expanded to colonize all planets in the solar system, and the story takes place in Fourth Tokyo, located in a Martian prefecture of Japan. Iris Shirasaki is a third-year student who hopes to become a test pilot. Her classmate Mizuki Sera works as a mechanic, and Mizuki's older brother, Kaito, serves as their homeroom teacher and leads the program designed to nurture their skills.
