Death Parade

Deceased individuals who die simultaneously are transported to an afterlife-like bar that exists outside of heaven or hell. This establishment, called Quindecim, operates under a strict system: winning a game allows a soul to be reborn, while losing results in permanent erasure. Decim, the bartender, oversees these proceedings and acts as a judge to determine each soul's worthiness for reincarnation. To do this, he subjects them to games with cruel elements designed to reveal their true character. Decim has always viewed these judgments as clear-cut, but his certainty is challenged when he encounters a young woman whose case defies easy resolution. His hesitation disrupts the usual process and leads to a fundamental question about who has the right to judge the dead.
