A high school student named Taiju is about to confess his feelings to Yuzuriha when a mysterious green light turns all humans into stone. Thousands of years later, Taiju wakes up to a world where nature has taken over and finds only one other person alive—his friend Senkuu, who has been working to rebuild civilization using science. The two team up, using Taiju's strength and Senkuu's knowledge to find a way to reverse the petrification. Their efforts face challenges as revived humans question Senkuu's methods. The cause of the global petrification remains a mystery.
