Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken (2020)

After the demon lord Hadlar was defeated, all the monsters were freed from his control and relocated to the island of Delmurin to live in peace. A human named Dai lives there, raised by the monster Brass, and dreams of becoming a hero. When Hadlar returns, the former hero Avan arrives to train Dai for the upcoming battle. Hadlar, now serving a more powerful demon lord, attacks Avan to kill him. Avan uses a Self-Sacrifice spell in an attempt to protect his students, but fails to defeat Hadlar. As Dai and his classmate Pop face certain death, Dai is marked on the forehead and gains extraordinary abilities, allowing him to fight off Hadlar. With Avan's fate uncertain, Dai and Pop begin a journey to seek revenge and restore peace.
