Hana no Kage

In ancient Japan, a princess and her lover flee from those chasing them. Facing capture, they decide to take their own lives instead of separating. Using their blades, they attempt to end their lives, but the plan fails. One of them later seeks vengeance for being left behind. The story was initially presented as a 17-minute and 06-second version, later shortened to 15 minutes for online release. The longer version received a fine art award at the 18th DoGA CG animation contest and was shown in theaters. It is also included in the DVD collection of works from that contest. The 15-minute version earned an excellence award at the 2nd Kichijoji animation film festival.
