Maomao solves the mystery of the consecutive deaths of the Emperor's newborn kids, but High Consort Lihua's health worsens. For that reason, the Emperor orders Maomao to treat the High Consort. However, when she attempts to feed Lihua a meal she has prepared, the maids interfere, causing Lihua to weaken further.
