Conan, Ran and Kogoro were at the mountain when their car breaks down. A group of college lab research assistants and their professor offered to tow their car. Goto Shoji, the college professor was drunk and asleep in the car. The group stopped and went to a store to buy groceries. After reentering the car, they discovered the professor dead.
