Jinto and Lafiel are aboard the lightly armed transport ship *Bokbrusue*, navigating the planar space of the Hyde System. Jinto is overseeing the region as an Earl, following the Union's retreat and the system's return to Imperial control. Meanwhile, the government of Martin, Jinto's home country, continues to resist Imperial rule. Separately, the First Devastation Fleet, composed of new *Attack Vessel* ships, is en route to the Hyde System for drilling exercises.
