The Shiki anime's eighth and ninth Blu-ray and DVD releases each contain an additional unaired episode. Volume eight includes Episode 21 and the special episode "Dai Futatō to Han wa," which is labeled as "Episode 20.5," and was released on May 25, 2011. Volume nine features Episode 22 along with the unaired episode "Dai Futatō-ichi to Han wa," referred to as "Episode 21.5," and was released on June 22, 2011. These episodes were announced through the official Shiki anime website.
