Earth has a two-tiered defense system to protect against large meteorites. The first layer involves Comet Blasters stationed in space, who use nuclear warheads launched from ships to intercept incoming threats. The second layer consists of Meteor Sweepers based on the ground, who use hypersonic planes and specialized missiles to handle debris from the explosions. Mikaze is a trainee pilot in the Meteor Sweepers, struggling with personal issues while aspiring to become a Comet Blaster. The series follows her and her team as they train to become full-fledged pilots, while the planet continues to face dangers from space.
