UEDA Shoji, who has worked in the industry since before World War II, moved beyond amateur efforts. Through his unique perspective, he manipulates and reconfigures photographs, leading to his involvement in Ga-nime, a new medium, with encouragement from his friend SANO Shiro, an actor from the same prefecture. The exhibition includes works from his renowned "Dune Mode" series, along with images from before and after the war, showing his hometown, Tokyo streetcars, and traditional Japanese scenes, collectively presenting a broader cultural view.
