Humanoid armored weapons called "Titatonostrider" are used in combat in this world. The narrative begins as military units from different nations gather on Oahu, Hawaii, including Ao Isami from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and Lewis Smith from the U.S. Marine Corps. Isami and Smith encounter each other during a battle, but their units are unexpectedly attacked by an unidentified force, causing chaos and separating the soldiers.
