As the Japanese forces gather around the Tree of Exodus near Mt. Fuji, Mahiro and Yoshino take advantage of their attack to bypass the barrier protecting it. But before them and the tree lies Samon, who shows them Hakaze's skeleton. Hakaze learns that she is already dead and contacting them from the past. Samon also reveals that his true objective is to prevent the revival of the Tree of Genesis, which, according to him, is a bigger threat to the world than the Tree of Exodus. (Source: Wikipedia)
