A brain-computer interface device allowing users to enter the virtual Internet has gained widespread use. Katsuro, convicted of a crime, is taken in by police officer Yumeji and serves his sentence under his care. As part of an arrangement with Yumeji, Katsuro assists in investigating cybercrimes in return for a shortened sentence.
