An alien species referred to as Mimics attacks, prompting Keiji Kiriya to join other recruits in using battle armor called Jackets to combat them. After dying in battle, Keiji repeatedly wakes up each day to relive and die in the same combat scenarios. During his 158th cycle, he receives a communication from a female soldier known as the Full Metal Bitch. It remains unclear whether she will help him break free from his recurring fate or lead to his ultimate demise.
