Kanoko, a high school student, travels from Tokyo to Hiroshima to visit her late brother Kiichiro’s grave with Hijiri, his former lover. Vowing to protect Hijiri as she once promised her brother, Kanoko gradually develops feelings for him. She continues to visit Hijiri at their old home, hoping he will eventually return her affection. Yet, Kiichiro’s memory remains a constant presence, complicating the situation between her and Hijiri.
