At Tennomifune Academy, students considered to have "negative karma" and prone to misfortune are placed in Class 1-7. On the first day, Hibari meets Hanako, who experiences constant bad luck, and Botan, a very weak girl. The three quickly become friends and hope to enjoy a typical high school experience, though their situation suggests it may not be easy. The story includes two additional chapters.
