Dr. Koto Shinryoujo

A skilled surgeon, Goto Kensuke, relocates to a remote island in Okinawa after a professional error in Tokyo. The island, Yonaguni, lacks qualified medical professionals, forcing residents to travel long distances for treatment. Though initially viewed as fragile and untrustworthy due to severe seasickness and lack of a driver’s license, Goto earns the community’s respect through his medical expertise and commitment. Children from the island create a banner for his clinic but misstate his name, leading to his new identity as Koto.
