Hagakure Kakugo belongs to a hidden lineage that has safeguarded people from dangerous forces for generations. Members of this family remain dormant until needed, and Kakugo has been unconscious for many years. His body was altered through the integration of metal to improve his combat abilities. He wields the Exoskull, an armor that amplifies his already enhanced strength. The narrative follows his journey alongside this armor through a world in ruin.
