Fushi no Sougishi

A hero is tasked with killing a princess in a world where the Immortal Undertakers, long-lived beings resembling humans, are responsible for guiding the dead to their final rest. Leon, a half-breed and the youngest Undertaker, is en route to complete his final test when a train accident forces him into the forest. There, he encounters a human girl and feels an unexplained urge to protect her, despite not knowing her. His instinct leads him to defend her from other Undertakers.
