Fushigi Yuugi Gaiden

Megumi Nishizaki authored thirteen Japanese light novels over five years, centered around *Fushigi Yūgi*. Illustrated by Yuu Watase, the series known as *Fushigi Yūgi Gaiden* mainly focuses on the Celestial Warriors prior to their appearances in the main manga. Two of the novels, *Eikō Den (Jōkan)* and *Eikō Den (Gekan)*, take place after the manga and formed the basis for the third original video animation in the *Fushigi Yūgi* series, *Fushigi Yūgi Eikoden*. The novels were originally published by Shogakukan and have not been licensed for English release. Each book consists of approximately ten chapters.
