Intellectual Villages are traditional rural communities built using modern technology. These villages draw in Youkai, supernatural creatures from Japanese folklore. A high school student named Jinnai Shinobu resides in one such village, where a Zashiki Warashi, a type of Youkai, inhabits his home. He frequently encounters various Youkai, which often results in complications for him.
