Alto Saotome, Ranka Lee, and Sheryl Nome, a pop idol, live aboard the Macross Frontier colonization fleet. Following a war with the Zentradi aliens, humans have expanded throughout the universe to secure their future. The fleet is involved in efforts to extend and preserve human culture.
