Märchen Mädchen

Hazuki Kagimura is a girl who often keeps to herself, struggling to connect with her new family. To cope, she escapes into books and stories. One afternoon, after school, a library shelf transports her to a magical school in another world. There, she meets Shizuka Tsuchimikado and learns that the female students, known as "mädchen," are chosen by classic fairy tales and folktales to use magic. These girls are trained at the school, which includes students linked to stories like Kaguya-hime no Monogatari, Issun-bōshi, Der Freischütz, Shuten-dōji, The Little Matchstick Girl, The Gigantic Turnip, Arthurian legends, and The Ramayana. Hazuki is selected by the Cinderella tale. She starts her training at the school, aiming to master magic and build a friendship with Shizuka.
