At the beginning of high school, Kako, an avid reader, takes it upon herself to transform her rural childhood friend, Kousei, into a handsome and well-liked school idol. Inspired by a manga character named Lawrence, she guides his image and persona. As Kousei's transformation proves successful and he begins to embrace and expand on his new identity beyond her expectations, Kako faces a dilemma. She must navigate the growing distance between them as Kousei gains popularity. The story explores how she copes with being overshadowed by his newfound success. The narrative includes three additional special chapters.
