Adele, an orphan, was forced to take the place of a deceased noblewoman or face death. She tried to fulfill the role faithfully, but soon an assassination order was placed against her after she was wed. She is then mysteriously sent back in time and seeks to reclaim the years lost to deception. Drawn to old ruins, she attempts to use her prior knowledge and the aid of a Black Knight to overcome threats and alter her future.
