Ningyo no Kizu

A legend claims that consuming a mermaid's flesh grants eternal life, but the outcome varies for each person. Yuta and Mana, immortal lovers, seek a normal life as they journey through Japan across centuries. They encounter others who have eaten mermaid flesh, hoping for immortality, but some suffer tragic fates, either dying or turning into monstrous "lost souls." While Yuta and Mana are among the few who survive relatively unscathed, the burden of their immortality remains a central struggle. The story includes multiple one-shot and short stories that explore different aspects of this myth and its consequences.
