A young woman encounters a wounded goose and, after attempting to soothe it, quickly kills it by breaking its neck. She later meets a young hunter and invites him to stay with her, though her true intentions are ambiguous. The hunter becomes uneasy when he discovers a snake in the room where they will sleep.
