Amatsuyu Kisaragi, known as Jouro, is seen as a kind and unremarkable person, while his extroverted best friend, Taiyou Ooga, nicknamed Sun-chan, is a baseball team captain who attracts attention from girls. Jouro secretly manipulates situations to make two girls—his childhood friend and the student council president—develop feelings for him. His goal is to have them confess in a carefully orchestrated setup. However, when both girls seemingly confess to him, they actually reveal they like Sun-chan and ask Jouro to help them pursue him. The next day, Jouro learns that a quiet girl named Sumireko Sanshokuin is interested in him, though she is unpleasant and determined to disrupt his plans.
