Since infancy, Miori has been repeatedly rescued by a boy a few years older whenever something goes wrong, though she has no knowledge of his identity. Eventually, they meet at school, where she learns his name is Haruka. He carries a troubled history marked by shadows, yet he is aware of his duty to protect her.
