In early 1980, before the internet and cell phones, Jo Umeyoshi meets Chihiro Sakagami and becomes infatuated, believing Chihiro to be his destined person. While Jo is enthusiastic and optimistic, Chihiro struggles with his own sense of purpose, feeling overshadowed by his famous father. As their relationship develops, Chihiro begins to form feelings for Jo, finding him to be an unusual and genuine individual.
