A first-year student named Araki Jin lives in a high school dormitory and receives a mysterious lamp from his archaeologist parents. After polishing it, the academy's idol Zadou Sierra suddenly appears wearing a maid outfit. Her father explains that she is a descendant of a lamp genie who must grant wishes to grow up. As an inexperienced genie, Sierra cannot use strong magic and instead resides with the frail Jin, causing frequent disturbances. Their story follows Sierra, a former aristocrat now functioning as a novice genie, and her master Jin.
