Saigo no Bansan

In a future where cows have become extinct, they are now artificially created using human DNA. These cows resemble humans and possess the ability to speak, yet they are still treated as livestock and consumed. Lamda, a cow whose father was eaten, chooses to flee. The story was published in Monthly Princess in December 2001.
