A long-standing conflict between the deities of Light and Darkness has shaped the land of Toyoashihara. Saya, a fifteen-year-old girl, lives unaware of this struggle until she learns she is the reborn Water Maiden and a princess of the Children of the Dark. Taught to favor the Light and reject the Dark, she faces pressure from both sides, as she alone has the potential to awaken the Dragon Sword, a weapon meant to end the war. Saya must reconcile her identity and decide her allegiance, knowing that past Water Maidens have faced dire fates.
