Misaki Saiki works as a dominatrix in an upscale S&M club in Tokyo. She has a difficult history and earns additional income through a unique skill: the ability to see and speak with ghosts, a power she has had since childhood. The Livelihood Protection Agency employs her to assist spirits in finding peace, partnering her with Souichirou Kadotake, a martial artist who fears ghosts. Misaki helps these spirits resolve unfinished business so they can pass on. She is also an albino and has not had sexual relationships.
