A high-schooler named Shou dies after a deity makes a mistake and takes his life. As compensation, the god offers Shou a second chance through reincarnation and a gift. Shou requests to keep all his past memories in his new life. He is reborn as Will, the son of a noble family, in a world where magic relies on knowledge of kanji. With his retained memories, Will is exceptionally intelligent as a toddler and quickly discovers a natural aptitude for magic. Unlike his previous life, where he was intelligent but unloved, Will now has parents who deeply care for him. His new life appears promising. A side story is included.
